Genealogy Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The pandemic has changed so much in the world. In the end of 2018, I started working with the local host committee of the 2020 NGS Conference. For more than a year we worked to get ready for the conference. In the end, the conference was cancelled just a few weeks before it was scheduled.
One thing that I have learned from cancellations like this one, is that we still have a choice. We have a choice to innovate and do things differently than we have done in the past. In many places we can’t meet in person to have a traditional genealogy conference. That doesn’t mean that we have to stop learning new genealogy skills.
Our goal with our genealogy course is to bring a genealogy conference into your home in a better way. Instead of trying to learn everything in a few days, we want to spread out those lessons so you can focus on one skill at a time. We want you to be able to immediately apply the skill so you really learn it.
