Bit-Sized Pieces

Genealogy should be learned in bite-sized pieces. If I listen to a lecture for an hour, I’m only going to remember some of what was discussed. Two days later, I’m going to be able to apply even less.

Traditionally, one of the best ways to learn about genealogy was to attend a conference. Over a few days you could attend lots of classes, and you would leave ready to go.

Unfortunately, having spent a few days soaking in lots of information, you are left not knowing where to start. Don’t get me wrong, I love a genealogy conference. I have been to many and have volunteered at several conferences. Over the years, I have become more and more frustrated with the conference model, and I want to change how I teach.

That is why we have created this course. I want people to be able to apply what they learn immediately.
